Arguments For

Please add your comments if you have any other ideas

Many people get paid for the number of days they work in any particular month, wouldn't it be easier if every month you worked exactly 20 days and so received the same salary each month?

It's easier for kids at school to learn

Every month could start with a Monday and end on a Sunday, easier to make plans for the weekends

Calendars and holidays wouldn't need to change from year to year depending on the day of the week

It would simplify some accounting systems

You could make public holidays coincide with Mondays and Fridays so that people would have more long weekends, it would make life more predictable, and easier to plan time away

Under this calendar a womans 40 week pregnancy lasts a nice round 10 months

  1. I have a few questions.

    1. 13 is known through out western civilisation as an unlucky number, so how are you going to sell that?
    2. Doesn't China already use the Lunar calender? If so, how well does it actually work?
    3. Why bother with leap years? Wouldn't it be prudent to consult a geoligist and an astral drift expert, get the formula 100% correct and then implement your simplicity theory over the top of that?
    4. Techknowlodgy is currently being implemented to allow computer aided control over our airspace in the same way that satelite navigation works. Would this Judain month have a posertive or negative effect on flying cars of the future?
    5. 1,000,000 votes would be far easier to achieve if there was corporate backing. I suggest 02, Sony or Microsoft. Or even some multi national sponsorship from a Russian owned company who's child can convince to join the band wagon?
    6. Scientology was founded thanks to a science fiction novel. Maybe we could write a book called 'The 13th month' market it properly, turn it into a movie blockbuster and attempt to reach 500,000,000 votes ;-)
